On October 27, 2021, Attorney, Jon W. Morphew, will present a continuing legal education seminar to the eminent domain section of the Hennepin County Bar Association. The title of the seminar is “Update on Business Relocation Claims: What We Learned from the SWLRT Cases.” The seminar will address the issue of reestablishment expenses and moving costs in the context of business relocation claims and what Mr. Morphew learned in the course of representing businesses displaced by the Metropolitan Council's SWLRT Project. Mr. Morphew will use two specific case studies to illustrate what claims are reimbursable as reestablishment expenses or moving costs.

Business owners faced with the forced relocation of their business as a result of a public improvement project need an attorney experienced in this type of litigation. Many attorneys that do not work regularly in the area of relocation law do not have this experience and may not be aware of all of the benefits for which a displaced business may be eligible to receive. This may result in their clients receiving less than what they are entitled to receive for the forced relocation of their business. A relocation law attorney can make sure you receive all of the compensation you are entitled to receive under the law and make sure your interests are protected. If you are facing the forced relocation of your business by the government for a public project contact relocation law Jon Morphew at Morphew Law today.
